Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an opportunity for a Senior Project Controls Engineer in our Singapore office. In this role you will provide a complete planning service to the project management team that has proven expertise in managing large, complex projects with a global reach. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in either the downstream oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals, on both grass-root and brownfield scenarios.

The right candidate will understand all relevant documentation pertaining to the project including scope of services, conditions of contract, project execution, project schedule etc.

Overview / Responsibilities

• Produce, where necessary, project procedures ensuring these are reflecting the Client needs and standards.
• Prepare and issue project action reports (monthly) to Project Manager
• Interface with Client Management Team
• Maintain accurate schedule and control curves in an updated condition and prepare forecasts of trends
• Responsible for formulating manpower and man hour estimates for proposals or any other future work
• Master Earned Value techniques
• Provide and maintain planning and scheduling statistics derived from completed projects

Skills / Qualifications

Skills / Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree or equivalent
• At least 10 years of working experience and at least 5 years of experience in the role
• A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 and spreadsheets, with database capability is mandatory
• knowledge of 4D planning and AWP is considered and advantage
• Proven experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases
