This Position reports to: Project Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will do thorough drive design & engineering along with PLC based control solutions for the Drive applications. You will provide technical expertise for drive system engineering & programming and support commissioning team on the engineered system for the project. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.
Work model for the role is: Onsite

• Full responsibility over Engineering of Drives (MV & LV) and Control System projects including complete commissioning support and engineering based on contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements in compliance to the marine classifications.
• Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
• Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.
• Evaluating the risk and opportunities management for the projects. Supports the Project Manager in overall project risk and opportunity assessments, and implementation of resulting actions.
• Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
• Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects

Qualifications for the role

• You are highly skilled in system & commissioning of AC Drives & DC Grid System, Power Management System (PMS) and/or Energy Storage Solutions.
• Ability to demonstrate your experience in ABB Drives, PLC, 800xa system and various communication standards and protocols is an advantage.
• Possess an experience in marine system solution, classification society requirement, commissioning & trouble shooting of drives and control system for Marine vessel is desired.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or another related course
