Senior Project Engineer

As a Senior Project Engineer for Process Automation business, you will be responsible for providing the technical coordination for all engineering activities for assignments classified as medium to large engineering complexity. Ensuring that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Reporting to Engineering Manager \xe2\x80\x93 DCA, you will be ensuring the service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. Executing technical support, act as specialist wherever possible and seek help from experts when needed to solve problems in own expertise area. This position is based in Singapore.

Your responsibilities

• Ensuring that engineering is developed with complete information and that all multidisciplinary information has been included in the engineering development. Solving problems that appear during engineering development. Driving completion of all engineering activities on the project
• Helping sales in proposals for engineering projects or programs through coordination of proposal drawings, bills of materials and estimated engineering hours for all engineering disciplines. Performing engineering risk analysis before submitting engineering efforts estimation
• Defining project tasks and ensures allocation of these tasks to project team members, specifying relevant schedule, cost and quality metrics. Coordinating the creation of work plans and cost estimates for work in all applicable engineering disciplines
• Providing technical support and solving problems in own expertise area via remote or on-site service in any service category (installation and commissioning; maintenance; repairs; engineering and consulting; advanced services; extensions, upgrades and retrofits; end of life services, replacements, etc.)
• Managing customer relationships and maintains regular contacts with key customers. Identifying new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth. Conducting specialist support and advisory service for sales team
• Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Reporting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed
• Aiming to be overall technical lead for the engineering disciplines included in the project after 2-3 years on the job experience. Actively developing and coaching the project engineering team and colleagues, supporting with technical advice and guidance

Your background

• Recognized degree in Engineering with experience in automation systems
• At least 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in 800xA project lead engineering with experience in Data Center projects an added advantage
• Computer literacy and competency Microsoft office tools
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Customer service oriented
• Strong Negotiation Management
• Leadership on result and strategy orientation, teamwork and collaboration, personal development and change
