Job Description


Position Summary: The Snr Project Manager leads and sets the direction for executing cross-functional programmes from initiation to completion. He/She partners with business leaders and determines programme goals that support business objectives and strategies. He/She directs a team of professionals and third-party vendors or service providers towards reaching organisational goals related to programmes. He/She manages risks that affect the delivery of outcomes. He/She designs, develops and implements operating policies.

As one who directs multiple projects, he/she adopts a broad perspective and is confident in making critical decisions and handles competing resource needs with implications on various projects and stakeholders. He/She is an excellent leader who has a passion for mentoring and developing professionals in the team.


Role and Responsibilities: 1. Set project management framework

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on project management by defining framework, templates, tools and systems to deliver on cost, time and quality metrics
  • Drive organisational capability to effectively apply the project management framework
  • Develop a system to measure conformance to the application of project management framework and take corrective actions, as necessary

2. Oversee project planning
  • Review the integrated project plan to ensure the delivery of time, cost and quality metrics across the project
  • Set expectations for periodic and milestone reviews including status reports, project risk identification and other dashboards

3. Oversee project implementation

  • Review project progress
  • Guide team to develop corrective actions, as needed
  • Develop credibility with stakeholders to deepen client relationships
  • Work with division and cross-divisional management and project sponsors to gain agreement and manage expectations
  • Guide and support team in resolving client escalations and make trade-off decisions as needed to reconcile deliverables with client objectives
  • Provide expert project delivery advice and guidance to team

4. Manage Department
  • Oversee department management including budgets, forecasting, work allocations and staffing
  • Develop staff through ongoing coaching, mentoring and career discussions
  • Define common goals, direction and accountability among staff
  • Drive effective performance management practices within department in accordance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or equivalent
  • Min 10 – 15 years working experience in related ERP
  • Successful record of leading, introducing, and implementing innovation and development in areas of solutions, service, and technology.
  • Has led a team of IT professionals for at least 5 years with strong managerial skills.
  • Good working knowledge in HCM applications
  • Knowledgeable in Automation is an advantage.
  • Need to possess good leadership management –People Management, Project Management, IT Management, Human Capital Management.
  • Strong IT background and well balanced between solid business/marketing sense and the execution aspects.
  • Must truly understand the SDLC and how it works.
  • Experiences in SAP ERP and HCM / SF Modules.
