We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end production of documentary projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest creative and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of documentary productions from pre-production to post-production and delivery.
Develop detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Ensure all productions meet contractual obligations, broadcaster standards, and client expectations (e.g., IMDA, Discovery, Nat Geo).
2. Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as the primary point of contact for international co-productions, broadcasters, and institutional clients.
Manage relationships with directors, producers, crew, and external vendors to ensure smooth collaboration.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
3. Budget & Resource Management
Monitor and control production budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
Negotiate contracts with freelancers, equipment suppliers, and post-production facilities.
Track expenses and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
4. Risk & Compliance Management
Identify potential risks (logistical, legal, financial) and implement contingency plans.
Ensure all productions adhere to regulatory requirements, licensing agreements, and safety protocols.
Oversee rights management, clearances, and deliverables as per broadcaster/client specifications.
5. Team Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise production teams, providing clear direction and problem-solving support.
Foster a collaborative environment between creative, technical, and administrative teams.
Mentor junior project managers and coordinators.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 15 years of experience in project management
Proven track record of managing high-profile projects
Strong understanding of the project cycle management
Exceptional organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in budgeting tools (e.g., Excel, Movie Magic) and project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana).
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
