Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Manager with extensive experience in Pharmaceutical Projects to support emerging opportunities, primarily in the Singapore market. The candidate will be responsible for commercial and technical delivery on assigned projects. He will be responsible for identifying and supporting recruitment activities of any necessary SMEs. In addition to Project Delivery responsibilities the individual will be expected to support business development activities through the "seller-doer" basis. This includes supoprt in client engagement, developing business winning strategies, input into proposals. The candidate will also be expected to support activities across the region. Additional responsibilities include :

• P & L responsibility with associated commercial and financial accountability including revenue delivery, margin and overhead management, budget and forecast determination and attainment, risk and opportunity reviews, cost controls, accounts payable/billing and cash collection
• Responsible for implementing robust financial management on project including change management
• Establishes project procedures and leads production of project execution plan including the scope

of work, deliverables list, master schedule, budget, org charts, risk register etc * Responsible for the project HSSE leadership, ensures a program of initiatives and auditing scheduleare established and that HSSE and quality management issues are proactively addressed

• Guides and directs a multidiscipline project team, which may include external specialists and involve staff from multiple offices and sites

Skills / Qualifications

The candidate is expected to have the following skills and qualifications "

University degree in relevant discipline Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM) or equivalentcertification is preferred

More than 10 years experience of managing pharmaceuticals projects from concept design, through Basic Design and into Detailed Engineering and installation * Experience of pharmaceutical design concepts including Clean Room, CIP, MEP, CSA

• Familiarity of relevant design tools, standards and regulations including FDA
• Familiarity of Singapore QP requirements
• Experience on site through construction phase
• Experience of Commissioning, Qualification and Validations
• Strong commercial mindset and experience wtih different contracting models
• Excellent verbal, written and presentational communications skills , able to present to internal and client senior management
• Safety focused with an uncompromising approach to risk management. Places the welfare of both internal and customer employees at the top of the agenda.
• Strong influencer, negotiator and mediator
• Decisive, with ability to make decisions and follow through, ensuring learnings are captured
• Strong team builder capable of identifying and adopting best practices, engendering a spirit of cooperation and energising people towards optimum performance enabling cross functional best practice
• Pragmatic in approach with a strong commercial bias and ability to balance commerciality with operational excellence
• A motivated self starter, who can self-direct when required, able to use own initiative and have autonomy to make appropriate decisions but also know when escalation is required.
• Critical thinker with problem solving abilities
