Job Description

:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Construction Civil and Architectural Supervisor to oversee and manage civil engineering and construction projects. The position would be leading projects of all sizes with multiple funding sources that require coordinating contractors, materials, logistics, and interfacing with engineering, maintenance, operations, and outside agencies. The successful candidate will ensure project completion according to specifications, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Supervise and coordinate all aspects of building and/or re-modelling assigned houses efficiently and safely; Maintain build schedules, schedule inspections, coordinate daily site work and activities, maintain quality standards, and ensure house(s) are completed by the scheduled move-in day. Ensure a safe jobsite always. Train volunteers in the safe usage of tools and equipment to prevent both injuries and damage. Contributes to the development of construction and project estimates for the Capital Improvements Program; contributes to and reviews all Technical Specifications, and is responsible for preconstruction activities, advising on the feasibility and constructability of each project.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of civil and engineering practices and construction procedures. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proactive, self-motivated, and a strong team player. Familiarity with workplace safety and health regulations in Singapore. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings. Must have physical eligibility to perform. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to major capital projects. Capable of interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Possesses strong proactive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, results-oriented, team-building, and critical thinking skills. Must possess the physical capability to perform all essential job duties, including working extended hours, nights, public holidays, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including civil, structural, and architectural works. Lead and manage a team of workers and subcontractors to ensure a smooth workflow. Conduct daily site inspections and enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Monitor project progress, report on site status to the Project Manager, and assist in preparing work schedules. Ensure all works are carried out according to approved plans, drawings, and specifications. Manage on-site resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials. Assist in resolving any site-related issues or technical problems. Attend project meetings and liaise effectively with engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Develops and implements training programs for staff; analyses construction sequence schedules; supervises budget monitoring for all projects; supervises construction projects and management staff. Works proactively with construction field staff to develop solutions to issues that keep projects on schedule and within budget. * Attends field meetings as needed and develops partnerships with contractors.
