PURPOSE OF JOB


Working closely with the Head of Department, the successful candidate will collaborate with WEO manufacturing sites to ensure the smooth implementation of the corporate quality strategy and the effective execution of tactical action plans.





The individual shall lead the QA/QC activities, monitor QA performance metrics and ensure timely and effective counter measures are implemented to address negative trends.





Candidates with high aptitude will be fast tracked for the position and responsibilities of Principal Engineer / Assistant Manager.





JOB DUTIES


Department KPI


Participate in the planning and execution of Corporate QA strategy supporting Business requirements Lead improvement projects to sustain the vitality of the QEMS & ESG Sustainability Initiative Track, monitor and report QA performance metrics Partner and drive quality improvement with cross department functions to apply timely and effective counter measures to address negative trends


Customer & Product Quality


Participate in NPI / FA drawing review meetings with factory to align test acceptance criteria and inspection test plans Support inspection correlation activities between customer and factory Review FA documentation for completeness and submit FA package for Qualification


Customer Complaint Handling


liaison between customer and factory/supplier on quality issues coordinate investigation and root cause analysis, drive product quality improvement verification of effectiveness and ensure timely closure of CAPA/SCAR participate in customer weekly meetings


Incoming & Non-conforming material


Planning of inspection Coordinate investigation of quality issues with factory/supplier Coordinate MRB review meeting to ensure NCMR are investigated and processed in a timely manner


Quality systems/Continuous improvement


support the implementation and maintenance of QMS according to ISO 9001/14001 requirements lead preparation and handling of customer audits Conduct QEMS awareness and quality tools training


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS


Experience:


5 years and above in a Quality function role from Optics manufacturing, preferably with experience in germanium and chalcogenide material.


Qualifications:


Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.


Other Requirements:


Proficient in English and Chinese language to communicate with customers and teams from Asia, Europe, and USA Sound knowledge and application of Quality tools, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Experienced in Optical measurement equipment. Some travelling to China and Malaysia production sites / suppliers / customers are required.
