The Senior Quality Control Executive is responsible for overseeing day-to-day lab testing and quality operations to ensure that all raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet internal and regulatory food safety and quality standards. This role ensures compliance with HACCP, and GMP norms and plays a key part in continuous improvement of quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and supervise chemical, physical, and microbiological testing of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and finished products.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards including HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
Review COAs (Certificates of Analysis) and testing documentation; approve test results.
Investigate and document non-conformances, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and deviations.
Collaborate with production and QA teams to resolve quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Ensure proper sampling, retention, and traceability of materials.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment (e.g., moisture analyzers, pH meters, refractometers, etc.)
Train and mentor junior QC.
Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
Ensure lab hygiene, safety, and good laboratory practices at all times.
Maintain updated records of all lab activities as per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Requirement
Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field
Minimum 2 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Food Safety in food manufacturing
Strong understanding of ISO, HACCP, SFA requirements
Meticulous, analytical, and confident in handling audits and regulatory interactions
Bonus: Experience in noodle or tofu food production
