Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical

Senior Quantity Surveyor

to manage

all cost-related aspects of construction projects

. From initial estimates to final accounts, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is financially viable, cost-effective, and completed within budget, while maintaining compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Budget Management:

Prepare and manage project budgets throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor expenditures and cash flows to ensure alignment with budget forecasts. Advise on potential cost variations and recommend cost-saving strategies.

2. Tendering and Contracts:

Prepare tender documentation and bills of quantities. Evaluate and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations. Assist in contract negotiations and administration.
#

3. Cost Control:

Track and control project costs against planned budgets. Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts. Identify and manage cost overruns and variances.

4. Quantity Take-off:

Perform accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications. Update cost estimates based on design changes and construction progress.

5. Risk Management:

Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Support the project team in managing variations and claims.

6. Compliance and Regulations:

Ensure all project cost management practices comply with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements. Maintain documentation to support cost analysis and audits.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in

Quantity Surveying

,

Construction Management

, or a related field. Minimum

3 years

of relevant experience in the

built environment or construction industry

. Strong understanding of

construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control methods.

Proficient in quantity surveying tools and software (e.g., CostX, Cubicost, Bluebeam, MS Excel). Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
