Job Description

The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in providing advanced nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting within the clinic. This position involves patient assessments, specialized interventions, patient education, leadership, and ensuring the highest quality of care within the unit.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Patient Assessment and Care:


Conduct thorough assessments of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as required.
2) Specialized Procedures:


Perform complex clinical procedures relevant to the specialized unit's area of focus. Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
3) Patient Education:


Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care. Provide detailed guidance on medication management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.
4) Collaboration and Communication:


Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain open and effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
5) Documentation:


Maintain meticulous and comprehensive medical records, including assessments, interventions, and progress notes. Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal documentation standards.
6) Quality Improvement:


Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes. Identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of best practices.
7) Emergency Response:


Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies within the specialized unit. Follow established protocols and procedures during crisis situations.
8) Professional Development:


Stay current with the latest developments in nursing and the specialized area through continuous education and training. Pursue relevant certifications as applicable.

Requirements, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience. Registered under Singapore Nursing Board (SNB). Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and any additional specialty certifications required. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Fine motor skills for tasks such as administering medications and conducting assessments. Visual and auditory acuity for patient monitoring and procedural support. Standard working hours with occasional flexibility based on unit needs. * Fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
