About this role
Do you have an interest in renewable energy or passionate about energy transitioning? This is an exciting opportunity to join Arup Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s Energy team. In this role you will be involved in a great variety of energy projects, as part of a regional team you will focus on contribution to the development of Arup\xe2\x80\x99s Energy business strategy, driving client engagement as well as leading a range of energy related projects. Reporting to the Singapore Energy leader, you will help to devise and execute low carbon and renewable energy advisory engagements as well as undertake feasibility studies and early-stage design projects.

What will I do?

  • Lead feasibility studies, technical due diligence and early-stage design roles for renewable energy projects involving solar, wind, hydrogen or battery storage technologies
  • Lead and Execute consulting engagements, which include coordinating with cross-discipline teams to develop bespoke solutions for clients.
  • Deliver technical M&A and pre-lend due diligence studies for financial investors and/or banks, providing clients with details of how technical risks can impact their projects.
  • Support Team and Business leaders in identifying business opportunities and developing technical and commercial tenders to acquire projects across Southeast Asia
  • Take responsibility for effective project management and participate in knowledge sharing to support the development of other team members.
What will I bring?
  • At least 5 years of experience in the development and execution of low carbon and renewable energy projects, with a strong technical background.
  • Relevant engineering/technical degree or equivalent with strong technical background in at least one of the following low carbon energy solutions: solar PV, wind,, hydrogen, hydroelectric, geothermal, concentrated solar and energy storage.
  • A track record of delivering technical M&A and pre-lend due diligence studies for financial investors and/or banks, and a robust understanding of how technical risks can impact the commercial drivers of a deal.
  • Experience of undertaking feasibilities for onshore and offshore wind, solar, hydro and/or geothermal projects as well as experience of working with clients and assisting business development.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in both technical and non technical environments.
