Centre for Applied ResearchProject Title: Examining the Implementation of Practice-based Work Approach for the Professional Learning of Associate FacultyThe Singapore University of Social Sciences invites suitable applications for the position of Senior Research Associate/Research Fellow on a 12-month contract at the Teaching & Learning Centre for the above-mentioned project. The goal of this study is to examine the design of a practice-based learning approach in two graduate certificate courses aimed at building the teaching and learning capacity of Associate Faculty (AF). AF are valuable professionals in the industry who also lend their expertise and experience to the development of students in the institutes of higher learning. The project takes a socio-cultural lens to investigate the extent of professional learning afforded by this approach, and the factors that mediate or hinder the AF\'s professional learning.Job Scope
1. Conduct literature review
2. Conduct data collection such as video recording, interviews and administer surveys
3. Design data collection instruments
4. Data processing and analysis
5. Project and data management
6. Publication and report writing
7. Other research related tasks as assigned by the Principal InvestigatorJob Requirements1. Possess a Master or PhD degree in Education, Adult Learning, or equivalent
2. Prior experience in research related to education and/or adult learning
3. Experience with qualitative research methods
4. Excellent analytical and organizational skills
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
