Job Description

What the role is:Senior Research Executive (Aquaculture Innovation Centre)What you will be working on:

• Support farm rules and set up SOPs for efficient farm operation and management.
• Provide responsible animal care and husbandry with detailed data recording.
• Arrange for consumable/equipment purchases following proper financial protocols and plan project logistics or requirements needed for smooth conduct of the project, tracking of usage and regular stock checking to refill consumables that are in low supply.
• Initiative projects or areas for capability development that would meet the centre's objectives.
• Troubleshoot and propose plan of action during project implementation and overall project management to achieve the deliverables within timeline.
• Discuss with project team on project updates and analyse, interpret and present data.
• Develop and/or regularly update SOPs for project management workflow and processes.
• Provide technical and logistics support for Centre's Continuing Education and Training (CET) workshops or internships.
• Undertake at least two industry and/or research projects annually as project lead.
• Handle centre-related tasks as assigned by management.
• Provide support to new team members.
• Maintain the workplace safe with responsible housekeeping practices.

What we are looking for:

• Relevant qualification in aquaculture with at least 3 to 5 years of aquaculture research/working experience.
• Candidates with experience in breeding, hatchery and larviculture will have an advantage.
• Meticulous and organised in record keeping and management for traceability.
• Proficiency in statistical and relevant analytical tools for data analysis, interpretation and report writing.
• Maintain professionalism, good work ethics and confidentiality of Centre's projects.
• Good team work, resourcefulness and able to work independently to execute the tasks and achieve deliverables on time.
• Good communication and project management skills with prompt project completion.
