The SRF is expected to:1. Conduct independent and lead high quality research in the fields of Bayesian optimization, Simulation optimization, and simulation modeling. Develop innovative methodologies, algorithms, and approaches to address complex optimization and modeling challenges.2. Provide leadership and Mentorship: to junior researchers, including junior research fellows, graduate students, and research assistants. Foster a collaborative and supportive research environment conducive to professional growth and development.3. Pursue research funding and secure external funding from government agencies, industry partners, and other relevant sources to support research activities and sustain long-term research initiatives.4. Engage in creative professional activities, including publishing high-impact research papers in peer-reviewed journals, presenting findings at conferences and workshops, and participating in relevant professional societies and committees.5.
