The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) is a school of the College of Science. It was established in 2002 with the mission to make a strong contribution to biological and biomedical sciences. Research areas at SBS include infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases and telomere biology and genome function. Since then, many talented individuals from around the world and Singapore have joined SBS as scientific leaders, and researchers.
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Research Fellow to join our team and help advance our understanding of host-pathogen interactions in wound infections. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of experts in the School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (www.thibaultlab.com) and make a meaningful contribution to the field.

Work within a team to achieve key performance indicators of research projects
Acquire proficiency in discipline-specific knowledge
Acquire new technical skills as required by the project
Plan, design and implement independent research projects
Supervise research staff and/or graduate students in the plan, design, and implementation of projects
Assist with organization and management of the research team
Communicate research progress and outcomes regularly
Prepare technical reports for the program PIs and present data at regular group meetings
Take lead role in manuscript preparation for high-impact scientific journals
Present research at external conferences and meetings
Maintain open communication with colleagues
Regular communication, as needed, with principal investigators, collaborating colleagues, lab members, and SBS administrative staff
Serve as postdoctoral representative, on a limited basis, on internal committees
Job Requirements:
PhD in biology, biochemistry, or related field with a minimum of 5 years postdoctoral working experience
Specific expertise in fluorescent image analysis, genetics, biochemistry, in vitro cell culture, molecular cellular biology, or computational biology
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required, along with ample experience with scientific writing
At least five first-author publications in an internationally recognized journal
Ability to work independently, within a large and collaborative team
