Job Description

(Key Responsibilities):

General

• Responsible for the technical performance of projects assigned
• Assist the team leader to maintain and develop the Company\xe2\x80\x99s client base by winning clients\xe2\x80\x99 satisfaction and trust during the performance of assigned projects
• Assist in preparation of proposals for potential projects
• Demonstrate leadership and enthusiasm to staff within the team and motivate those staff to achieve the performance expected of the Function Group
• Assist Function Group Leader, Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer, working closely with the regional management team and Sector Director, to broaden and strengthen AIS\xe2\x80\x99 reputation
• Carry out duties and functions as directed by the Function Group Leader not specified above
• Assist the team leader and work closely with members within the Function Group in relation to the following activities:
• Project programming, implementation, review, monitoring and management
• Preparation of disciplinary system designs and reports

Specific

• Work closely with Project Manager to prepare action plans, including resources, timeframes and budget for the project
• Perform various coordinating tasks like schedule, risk managements along with administrative duties like maintaining project documentation, report writing and handling project queries
• Ensure that client\xe2\x80\x99s needs are met as the project evolves
• Undertake some minor hydraulic designs
• Assists in other ad hoc duties as assigned
• Coordinate with the client, sub-consultant and design team to:
• Attend meetings
• Assist in liaison with QP(D) and QP(S)
• Assist in liaison with various government authorities
• Assist in liaison with the Public Utilities Board & Superintendent Officer

Job Requirements & Person Specification (Qualifications, Experience, Skills):

• Minimum 5 years of working experience as a Resident Engineer
• An engineering degree in the appropriate discipline e.g. Civil / Structural Engineering
• Experience in project management from conception to delivery
• An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step by step action plans
• Professional and confident approach to working relationships. Team orientated with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and peers
• Self-motivated and able to work independently when required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, supervisory and client management skills
• Solid organisation skills including multitasking and time-management
• Demonstrated good presentation and reporting skills
