Job Description


WHAT: To assist Director of Sales in all selling activities within the hotel, working closely with the Rooms, Food and Beverage and other revenue-generating departments to maximise sales through the activities of the Conference & Events Department and other associates.

Your Role:

  • Confirm every piece of business possible \xe2\x80\x93 selling the right room to the right customer at the right time for the right price.
  • Deliver financial results.
  • Effectively uses and promotes technology to support productivity and profitability.
  • Builds effective relationships with customers and business partners.
  • Identifies and handles sales leads effectively and efficiently.
  • Represents the Hotel and participates in domestic and international sales activities.
  • Fulfills Customer Relationship Management responsibilities and sales goals for defined customers through planned customer interviews.
  • Monitors and reports on market and competition within own market segment.
  • Prepares and updates customer management reports and ensures all necessary follow-up work is carried out on time.
  • Active distribution of product information and creates awareness in the markets and business segments or responsibility.
  • During sales calls, carries out \xe2\x80\x9ccross selling\xe2\x80\x9d in accordance with corporate and divisional guidelines.
  • During Sales Calls, uses USPs \xe2\x80\x93 linking features with benefits.
  • Undertakes tasks as and when requested to fulfill the marketing and sales objectives of hotel.
  • Creative contribution to product and sales development.
  • Participates in planning and realization of sales campaigns together with Director of Sales /DOSM within defined market segments.
  • Assists in planning and coordinating sales activities and events.
  • Assists in coordinating the development of all promotions.
  • Managers account base and maintains all customer information up to date manually and electronically.
  • Provides ongoing advice and support to staff under his/her supervision.
  • Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader. There is minimal direct supervision.
  • Understand premium products. Able to overcome objections (esp. price).
  • Confident in selling premium rates.
  • Possess basic computational abilities and sense of business.
  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel and its facilities.
  • Knowledge in Corporate, CI & M and Catering sales, F&B knowledge, event organization and audio-visual equipment.
  • Understanding the market and its competitors.
  • Outstanding performance and result in related filed and market.
  • Act as sample of the team during the daily job.
  • Willingness of career development.

  • Identify and report any maintenance requirements and hazards in the workplace and report significant issues to your manager.
  • Stay abreast of changes in your expertise and comply with statutory and legal requirements for fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
  • Be always conscious of the security of the hotel, guests, and guest\xe2\x80\x99s belongings.
General
  • Respond to changes in your function as dictated by the industry, company, and hotel.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Management.
  • Be prepared to work on a flexible schedule and shifts.
  • Reflect our local culture, heritage, history, and be knowledgeable and share our art and craft concepts, and how they relate together.
