Senior Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 SCADA

We are looking for a SCADA SME who is detail-oriented, proficient with SCADA technologies, and who flourishes in high-pressure environments. SCADA engineers generally work with numerous software programs, clients, and other technical staff, and often need to do field analysis and maintenance. Their responsibilities include upgrading and improving operating environments, creating repair strategies, and providing technical support and training for users.

Successful infrastructural engineers should have good communication and collaboration skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, and extensive knowledge of data laws. Ideal candidates will also have experience in project management and giving professional presentations.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement SCADA systems to meet project specifications
• Install and configure SCADA software and hardware components, including communication protocols, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and remote terminal units (RTUs)
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions and errors, identifying root causes and developing solutions to address them
• Perform system upgrades and patches as necessary to maintain system functionality and security
• Conduct system testing and validation to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, Solution Architects and engineers to ensure effective communication and project delivery
• Provide technical support and training to end-users, including operators and maintenance personnel
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance system performance, reliability, and efficiency

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in SCADA design including software and hardware
• Proven experience in SCADA system design, implementation, and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of SCADA software and hardware components, including communication protocols (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, IEC 104, BACNET), PLCs, and RTUs
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions and errors, identifying root causes and developing solutions to address them
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
• Experience with Virtualization and Containers will be a big plus
• Good experience in IoT protocols (MQTT, HTTP/S)
• Basic Networking understanding
• Ability to travel in APAC region (~10% of time) if required
