Who are we looking for? Our newly established lab in Singapore is looking for a Senior Scientist to join the team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology and inflammation biology, and has extensive experience in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry and in vitro pharmacology techniques, with a keen interest to deploy these skills to advance drug discovery programs. We are seeking a committed and collaborative team member who will thrive in a dynamic culture.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Discovery Biology lead to advance drug targets in immunology and inflammation.
• Provide knowledge and direction in the development and validation of novel molecular and therapeutic hypotheses.
• Design and execute a wide variety of in vitro assays and in vivo experiments to inform on target biology, perform target validation, and support the identification and evaluation of drug candidates.
• Design and conduct mechanism of action preclinical studies with drug candidates that modulate disease biology.
• Data generation, analysis, interpretation, and communication of results.
• Contribute to authoring and reviewing project proposals, project updates, scientific publications, and laboratory SOPs.
• Analyze and document experimental data in an electronic laboratory notebook in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s quality management system.
• Work collaboratively with other functional teams across the company.
• Mentor and inspire team members at all levels.

• PhD in Immunology or a related scientific discipline.
• 5-10 years of relevant laboratory research experience.
• Experience in cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, such as cell culture, molecular cloning, transfections, nucleic acid extraction and analysis, gene editing, protein purification, PCR, Western blot, ELISA, flow cytometry, and immunofluorescence microscopy.
• Working knowledge of bioinformatics and experience with in vivo disease modeling is a plus.
• Prior experience in a project leadership role on a multi-functional team is highly desirable.
• Willingness to be hands-on in the lab.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of an adventurous team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Good prioritization and organizational skills.
• Strong team player with a positive, proactive, can-do attitude.
