Job Responsibilities: * Responsible to enhance AMF's R&D capabilities. * Work with a team of researchers and engineers to develop advanced silicon photonics device designs and evaluation of desi Job Responsibilities: Responsible to enhance AMF's R&D capabilities. Work with a team of researchers and engineers to develop advanced silicon photonics device designs and evaluation of designs based on product requirements on AMF's silicon photonics manufacturing platform Develop and realize new device structure and processes in compliance to project specifications and requirements Develop & establish relationships between the company, strategic partners & contacts in the photonics field, including both academic researchers and industry partners Identify, develop, & implement near-term & long-term R&D strategies. Identify new research opportunities to help AMF to compete in the photonic foundry market. Filing of patents (as an inventor) to help AMF with intellectual property (IP) fencing i.e., IP cluster and portfolio development. Job Requirements: Possess a PhD/DPhil in photonics, electrical engineering, physics, or any other related field. At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience Practical knowledge and understanding of optical science and/or photonics technology. Practical knowledge in electrical and optical measurement of optical chip devices and systems. Passionate and creative, exceptional oral and written communication skills Ability to think and strategize to complete experimental projects. Accountable and takes ownership, ability to multi-task and prioritize
