Job Description

The Security Officer reports to Shift Manager for operations. Carries out operational duties and functions in order to maintain the safety of tenants and visitors to the City. Provide vigilance and a security presence to upkeep a safe environment for City visitors, tenants and staffs. To assist in the smooth running of the security operation and other security and safety related duties as assigned by the Shift Manager.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESOperational functions include: Perform regular perimeter checks and patrols to ensure that there are no fire/safety violations, vandalism or suspicious activity or person/s on the property. Investigation skills are required to follow up with incident reports of various natures regarding the establishments' interest. Responding to fire alarm activations and be familiar with fire safety procedures of evacuation of property if need arises. Assisting guests in the mall. (E.g. escorting a guest to a specific destination within the mall, etc) Operate and monitor security control panels, alarms, and related security equipment to provide property observation and surveillance. Maintain logs and records of occurrences, complete necessary paperwork duty performs during working shift. Perform 2 rotating shifts to supplement the property operations. Ensure that enforcement of the company's safety and security policies/regulations to visitors, tenants and staffs are performed in an impartial manner. Ensure that no unauthorized person/s is in any restricted areas without proper justification. Ensure CCTV surveillance, Alarm, Patrol & Fire Safety Systems are in good working order. These include computers, printers, radio communication sets and Control Access hardware and software.Others: . Report any discrepancies, deviation of procedure or standard practice.. Update on security intelligence (suspicious movements and trends of individual or activities).Tools/Equipment used. Have some knowledge and able to operate the operation of CCTV, Control Access system, Electronic key cards, Doors & Fire Safety Systems to the Department best advantage in accordance with Departmental procedures and objective.. Provide administrative support in all areas relating to the sales and administration of season parking facilities.. Assist carpark operation in attending to car park help stations/Equipment breakdown.. Conduct routine inspection to all car park system/equipment. Ie: EPS (Entry, Exit, Kiosk & barrier system) and PGS system. Replenish all consumable items such as receipt roll, tickets etc. for carpark machines and carpark leaflets. Patrol in the carpark by buggy or foot, attend to motorists who need assistance as well as report irregularities to the carpark Supervisor to follow up. Take enforcement action against Indiscriminate Parking vehicles which include serving notices and wheel clamping the vehicles. Assist in traffic control in the carpark during peak hours or when the car park is busy. Assist Carpark operation in reserving parking lots (using barricades) during special events. Cover carpark reception duty, attend to all walk-in or telephone enquiries, feedback , requests and man the carpark management stations as and when require. To assist open/close carpark entrances/ramp/driveway at various specified timing or for effective management of car park and security of SuntecDaily Duties. Physical checks of the following: - All Fire, Health & Safety systems and equipment.- Entire property.. Assist the Shift Manager: - Patrol reports,- Investigation reports,- Complaints, allegations and inquiries,- Incidents report- Accident report- Property Damage report. Assist the Shift Manager in updating and keeping stock of the following: - Filling system- Operation Forms- Passes & keys- Stationary & operational supplies. Ensure that they have knowledge on the events, occurrence and operations via the following: - Departmental Briefing/Roll Call- Everything Communicates- Communication Book- Security Log Occurrence- New/amended SOP- New Directive and orders- FAS isolation locationsPeriodic Duties. Assist the Shift Manager in Security System and equipment test. Any other duties as and when required by Management. Other duties as assigned by the carpark operationsOccasional Duties. Provide assistance to the Special Projects Team when required during important events.Job Requirement. Certified first-aider. Knowledge of Security Control Access System. Knowledge of CCTV System. GCE 'N' Level or equivalent. Certified as Senior Security Officer through WDA/ WSQ/RTT. PLRD registered. Company Emergency Response Team certifiedExperience: . Min 2 years as Security Officer or Senior Security Officer. Former Police/Military/Civil Defence/Auxiliary PoliceAdditional Skill Required: Computer Knowledge is required
