Requirements
To ensure guests would feel safe and secure in our hotel, appropriate security levels necessary. As Senior Security Officer, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be implementing safety and security policies in accordance with IHG standards \xe2\x80\x93 emphasizing to remain alert at all times to team members. By allowing guests to feel safe, it would encourage repeat visits. What\'s the job about? Report to Manager all hotel property deficiencies and safety or security hazards
Control access points as assigned to ensure no unauthorized entry
Plan and deploy security personals within the team and shift
Initiate/identify project work required in light of your trade throughout the hotel
Conduct random checks of key registers in various departments in the hotel and report on discrepancies
Cascade down any pending tasking from outgoing shift to Security Officers
Perform any tasking instructed by Security Executive / Security Manager
Prepare Daily Security Log and plan meal break for the shift
Ensure all incidents are updated accordingly in Daily Security Log.
Ensure all tasking from \xe2\x80\x9cStayPlease\xe2\x80\x9d system is complete within the shift
Ensure access point security system are in working order, and if not, to raise maintenance reports
Ensure that all operating procedures are adhered to as prescribed
Monitor CCTV coverage within hotel property
Liaise with other departments for security matters whenever necessary
Ensure checks are conducted on fire panel, fire hose real outlets and fire barriers and all other safety equipment and ensure that all are in good working order and report to superior any item of equipment that is faulty
Ensure hotel alarm system, switchboard and paying system are in good working conditions
Ensure that all operating procedures are adhered to as prescribed
Assist superior in the preparation and management of the department\xe2\x80\x99s budget and is aware of financial targets
Respond to emergencies as a member of the CERT Team/Certified First Aider
Ideally, you should possess a GCE \'O\' level qualification or have a valid security officer licence with minimum 2 years of related work experience.
