We manage a portfolio of six key programs including Family Service Centres, Child Protection Specialist Centre, Goodlife, YAH!, Grief Matters and Home bath services. Our workforce size is about 300 employees; spread across 20 locations/centres across Singapore. Our HQ resides at 624 Upper Bukit Timah Road Singapore. Our program centres primarily are located in Marine Parade, Mountbatten, Telok Blangah, Kreta Ayer, Agape Village @ Toa Payoh and Yishun.

DESIGNATION : Senior Social Worker (Eldercare)

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Social Worker is responsible for facilitating change and improving the lives of individuals, families, community facing transitional challenges through the provision of direct services. He / She will act professionally at all times and be accountable to the client and the organization to ensure that intervention plans are developed and implemented according to professional judgment and knowledge. Additionally, he / she will supervise social workers and ensure that services are delivered in accordance with organisation standards, he / she will also be responsible for handling high risk client cases.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • A graduate with a recognised degree
  • Must be Registered Social Worker/ Counsellor/Practitioner
  • Certification in specialised area (preferred)
  • At least 4 years\xe2\x80\x99 social work experience
  • Prior supervisory experience would be advantageous
  • More than 1 year of involvement in specialised and relevant area

  • People oriented: The ability to work with different groups; supervisee, partners
  • Communications: Excellent oral, written and inter-personal communications skills in dealing with individuals and groups at all levels
  • Planning: The ability to contribute towards casework and counselling, and programme planning
  • Management: The ability to develop effective and realistic workplans
  • Industry: Knowledge of various policies, assistance schemes, and procedures related to the delivery of casework and counselling services and programmes
  • Analytical Ability & Problem Solving: The ability to assimilate and analyse information quickly and accurately and to formulate decisions and make recommendations
