Working days: 5 daysAssistant Superintendent / Senior Social WorkerJob Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development of the overall framework for casework and counselling of residents in the Hostel, budgeting & expenditure according to objectives of the department
• Develop sustainable structure and pathways for staff development and progression (together with Division Head and Corporate Services)
• Ensure staff understanding and aligned practice with the overall philosophy, and provide supervision & guidance for staff
• Oversee casework management and community engagements in the Hostel
• Provide guidance for crisis management & management of complex cases
• Provide direction and guidance on inter departmental and divisional collaboration for the purpose of rehabilitation
• Oversee and conduct family intervention whenever appropriate and necessary for recommended cases
• Networking and liaison with external agencies, by developing network with community agencies and establish collaborative relationship with their key personnel in the rehabilitation and community reintegration of the residents.
• Support professional development and provide support to staff through working closely with the Head, Practice & Service Development and HR
• Attain the Department goals and ensure they are aligned with Division goals.

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work with at least 5 years of experience in direct social work practice or similar setting
• Managerial / Team leading experience.
