RESPONSIBILITIES
At FAM@FSC, the Senior Counsellor will conduct counselling for individuals, couples and families facing challenges in their relationships. The Senior Counsellor provides clinical supervision, design, deliver and oversee programmes for the organization. At the same time, the Senior Counsellor will need to have knowledge in case management and network with external stakeholders well. There is also a need to provide administrative/strategic support in accordance with the service's requirements. We are looking for passionate people who wants to work with couples and families.
Job Responsibilities:
Offer early-risk marriage support eg minor and transnational couples, divorce support and family & marital counselling
Offer group work and other interventions to families facing challenges; and to work with relevant partners to promote the welfare of the clients
Proficient in various counselling approaches (e.g., systemic etc) and tools to help with clients' concerns effectively
Possess the ability to manage challenging cases, including crisis intervention and referral to other agencies
Deliver clinical supervision for staff's professional development
Supervise and manage counselling interns, when necessary
Plan, develop and implement programmes for children, adults and/or families
Conduct annual appraisals with staff, where applicable
Identify gaps in service delivery and improve work processes for the organization
Comply with workflow processes and improve protocols when necessary
Manage the budget and statistics monthly
Perform any other duties assigned by Management
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferably attained a postgraduate qualification in counselling by accredited institutions under the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and/or certification in systemic thinking
Obtained a minimum of 50 hours of training in Clinical Supervision
Preferably a registered counsellor/supervisor with SAC or registered social worker with SASW
OTHER INFORMATION
Relevant Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in counselling individuals, couples, and families (e.g. court cases) independently, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience
Competencies:
A people-oriented team player that contributes to a positive work and team culture
Ability to adapt and be flexible with changes
Excellent written (e.g. report writing) and presentation skills
Committed, able to multi-task and has a can-do attitude
