Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly driven and talented software or bioinformatics engineer to join the DRAGEN Team.
The team focuses on developing automated test infrastructure and bioinformatics tools to analyze large genomic data, setting up CI/CD and improving the databases and websites that we use for the verification activities.
Responsibilities:Lead and execute testing strategies for data analysis software within cross-functional teams.
Design, develop, and maintain automated software verification framework and scripts
Collaborate with bioinformatics scientists to support data analysis, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to tool development.
Participate in Code and Design Reviews
Ensure Software Development Life Cycle best practices and regulatory requirements are followed
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance development and testing efficiency
Requirements:Strong foundation in software engineering principles.
Proficiency in one or more high-level programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or C++
Experience in object-oriented programming is a plus
Experience working in Linux-based environments
Experience in defining requirement and test cases preferred
Experience in designing or architecting automated verification framework and tests is preferred
Experience with CI/CD and related tools is preferred
Experience with cloud platforms/deployment and web services is preferred
Experience with databases is preferred
Be eager to learn Bioinformatics
Excellent verbal and written communication and troubleshooting skills
Be curious, detail oriented, and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly
Be customer-focused, team-oriented, and motivated, taking ownership of assigned tasks
Have proven ability to self-manage, as well as manage interdisciplinary relationships
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience
