Senior / Sourcing Engineer The Sourcing Engineer supports and implements overall Sourcing strategy in line with company’s objectives and achieves year on year growth in a fast-changing environment by executing supply chain projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Source and qualify new parts and suppliers in line with commodities strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Quality, etc.) in executing these strategies.
• Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) discussions with strategic suppliers at NPI stage to optimize the design and identify right manufacturing processes which are suitable for mass production.
• Rapid prototyping to support (NPID) New Product Introduction and Development to support timely product implementations into the market.
• Drive improvements in suppliers ‘process quality, delivery and cost to meet business targets and initiatives.
• Assess suppliers’ technical competencies and capabilities and match suppliers’ strengths to the company’s technical & quality requirements and influence cross functional teams on suppliers’ selection.
• Assess and mitigate supply chain risk to ensure business continuity.
• Understand and establish supply chain requirements (e.g. production vs delivery lot size, production vs delivery lead time, etc) with suppliers to meet operational requirements
• Develop and execute supplier development programs (e.g. lead-time reduction, process improvement).
• Engage suppliers & internal cross functional teams to collaborate on continuous cost reduction by proposing alternative manufacturing methods.
• Improve total cost of ownership by supply consolidation and effective negotiation of terms.
• Track and implement action plans to continuously improve Strategic Sourcing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as well as support manufacturing locations.
• Keep abreast of design, product and market requirements for company’s products and in turn share market and suppliers’ developments.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical discipline with minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Possess well-rounded knowledge in strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, and operational procurement.
• Proven track record as a competent technical interface in engaging suppliers and internal cross function teams.
• Well-developed business acumen in supply chain cost analysis, negotiations and contracts.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks requiring varying resources.
• Effective communication skills and team player.
