Job Summary Responsible to develop and implement world class supply chain strategies that provide Venture and our customers with a strategic Market advantage. Develop and drive supply chain strategies that are consistent with established company policies, material/procurement strategies. This includes working with internal teams in planning and implementing activities related to the materials sourcing, commodity strategy, price competitiveness, continuity of supply and risk management. Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, utilizing of skills in influence to drive the decision-making process. Manage support Business requirement to deliver to company and department KPIs. Responsibilities :
  • Under limited supervision, drive, co-ordinate & develop sourcing/pricing strategies via material cost competitiveness through interfacing with the various internal teams and customers. Internal teams including sourcing (Commodity), purchasing and cross-functional teams (i.e. Program Management, Quality, R&D, Engineering etc.).
  • Develop and lead implementation of flexibility and supply assurance plans, including AOS, alternative proposal, risk buy, best practices etc.
  • Improve the cost position by ensuring the initial buy is cost competitive and initiating cost reduction saving opportunities.
  • Working in conjunction to make recommendations and/or take appropriate actions to actively impact and augment current sourcing strategies and cost structures.
  • Identify opportunities to increase turnkey business through localization and influence customers to use Preferred Suppliers.
  • Ability to perform data/pricing analysis towards areas of competitiveness. Ability to interpretate them, to make recommendations and construct viable solutions.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills, co-ordinate to resolve issues involving plant and/or customer/supplier inquiries/feedback, or special requests.
  • Support project & product cost with quality deliverables for Mass Production / New programs, NPI / Proto / Design, R&D builds.
  • Track material\xe2\x80\x99s financial performance (purchase price variance) and initiate corrective action plans & actions.
  • Acts as a customer advocate to drive prioritization of projects and responses to problems/issues supports account planning, supply chain issue escalation, strategy development and sales.
  • Communicate frequently with key customers to help ensure satisfaction with the company and the products.
  • Present supply chain related topics to customers and liaise with customer on material pricing related issues.
  • Measure and report on project status both internally and to the customer. Preparing reports on areas of responsibility and ensuring proper tracking and adherence to supply chain guidelines.
  • Solicits performance feedback and communicates information to internal teams and departments.
  • Ensure business controls are in place to comply with the company\xe2\x80\x99s requirements and processes are in compliance to ISO and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead in any other initiatives as given by supervisor.
Requirements :
  • Master, Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Engineering / Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related industry experience in Supply Chain / purchasing / procurement in an OEM or Contract Manufacturer (EMS).
  • Experience related to project management experience in manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
  • Experience in managing significant spend coverage.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and experience in SAP system is highly desirable.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) to liaise with Chinese-speaking associates.
  • Analytical with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional. team player, self-driven and able to work independently towards achieving company/group objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and to work with a variety of offshore locations.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concepts.
  • Experience in low volume high mix and VMI / pull manufacturing environment.
