About the role

• .To provide daily inspection and standing supervision for all activities of the underpinning works.
• To conduct daily safety inspection for the underpinning works.
• .To inspect and supervise all modification, additional and rectification works.
• To supervise every stage of the underpinning works, all excavation, construction of transfer slab, installation of jacks and equipment, load transfer operation, cutting of piles, installation of monitoring instrumentation, to achieve the full completion of the work, in a safe manner.
• To check and monitor the Contractor\'s daily checklist/log/records for the underpinning works.
• To report to the Specialist Engineer Underpinning (SEU) daily on the progress and details of the underpinning works, deviation of the CTE flyover movement encountered from expected movement, and to alert on change in physical/ visual condition
• To immediately alert the SEU on the potential risks and all deviations with clear assessment of the courses of actions and implementation of the contingency measures.

Qualifications

About You

• The Specialist Inspector Underpinning (SIU) shall have minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in underpinning of similar level of complexity, and underpinning a bridge/ viaduct or equivalent of underpinned load of more than 15,000 ton, both local or international experience. He / she shall be well versed with relevant Euro Codes or equivalent
• Ability to meet agreed deadlines
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of team.
• Familiarity of Singapore local codes & standards
