Job Description


POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring Supply Assurance and Supply Chain performance of assigned portfolio of products including Japan market. As this portfolio includes Japan, the responsible will need to communicate in Japanese.

Participate in Global and Regional forums as regional point of contact and drive improvement initiatives related to supply & inventory management to support achievement of commercial goals for assigned region / markets.

For assign product portfolio

  • Responsible for Supply Assurance
  • Responsible for Inventory planning and coordination of inventory deployment
  • Support completion of Product change management activities requiring supply input
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Manufacturing Sites, serving as point of contact
  • Represent region in plant S&OP
  • Drive completion of supply-related or other assigned improvement initiatives
  • Share accountability with AMP Supply Planning Manager to drive resolution of escalated issues
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Assurance -
  • For assigned product portfolio:
  • Continuously monitor and ensure product supply
  • Proactively identify supply risks by updating supply outlook
  • Using standard processes drive communication and resolution of supply issues with stakeholders
  • Escalate risks to AMP Sub Team Lead as needed
  • Proactively understand demand drivers and supply implications from forecast changes
  • Partner with AMP Sub Team Lead to drive:
  • Resolution of escalated risks with stakeholders
  • Resolution of escalated issues in Supply chain agreement (SCA)
  • Changes in transportation mode
Inventory management and deployment
  • For assigned product portfolio:
  • Develop inventory targets and budget for assigned products
  • Drive continuous optimization of inventory and working capital
  • Analyze inventory performance versus budget and develop action plans to achieve targets
  • Perform root cause analysis of inventory deviations vs. targets and of inventory drivers and define improvement plans
  • Monitor and manage inventory shelf-life / expiry dates minimizing write-offs whilst improving processes to avoid obsolescence.
  • Ensure in market obsolete inventory is identified and disposed of on a physical and financial level
  • Develop and negotiate Supply Chain Agreements (SCA) with stakeholders
  • Coordinate pre-shipment and support post-shipment issue resolution with Intercompany Operations(I/O) or market teams as required
Product change management
  • For assigned product portfolio, proactively and continuously support Product Change Management activities securing achievement of business objectives, service levels, costs and working capital requirements
Point of contact for Sites
  • Serve as point of contact to manufacturing sites for any questions related to assigned product portfolio.
Improvement initiatives
  • Participate in or drive completion of continuous improvement initiatives
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Manufacturing Sites, Market Leader, Market Commercial / Finance / Regulatory, Enabling analysts, Enabling Supply Managers, AMP Sub Team Lead, Brand Supply Leads

EDUCATION
  • Tertiary Qualified in a Supply Chain / Logistics / Operations Management related role (APICS highly desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of principles and strategy for Sales Forecasting / Demand and Supply Planning.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and analytical skills
EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience required in Supply and Logistics management, ideally in pharmaceutical industry or healthcare industry
Language requirement
  • English
  • Japanese
Technical skills:

Understanding of:
  • Pharmaceutical industry commercial dynamics, trends and regulatory processes
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and end to end global product flows
  • Sales / Commercial/Marketing functional areas
  • Continuous improvement concepts
  • ERP System / Implementation
  • Implementation of New business / distribution models
  • Logistics knowledge
  • Exposure to business finance
Key capabilities:

Ability to:
  • Quickly grasp and understand complex situations involving many moving parts
  • Use and leverage of ERP systems and reporting tools including Microsoft Office
  • Use analytical skills to observe patterns and trends in data and determine root cause of issues from the analysis
  • Make decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment
  • Manage, track and drive resolution of complex issues as well as improvement initiatives
  • Effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Build strong professional relationships across geographies and at different levels of the organization

  • Build deep knowledge of portfolio of products and manufacturing plant capabilities
  • Proactively identify supply risks through data and market demand analysis
