Roles & Responsibilities DHI is a global leader in solving the toughest water, climate, and biodiversity related challenges. We seek a confident, outgoing, organized, and self-motivated sustainability professional to help drive our environmental and sustainability business forward in our Singapore or Vancouver (B.C.) based offices. This exciting position is in DHI’s newly established Sustainability Solutions Department where the selected applicant will focus on executing local and international environmental / sustainability projects and business development associated with DHI’s core strength in coastal / marine and ecological modeling. In this regard, DHI is a world leader in water environment numerical models/modeling and is active in developing and applying novel ecological modelling techniques and digital twin tools for pressing environmental issues. The applicable will therefore be required to network with related colleagues to identify opportunities where DHI’s technologies can be meaningful applied to emerging sustainability reporting requirements and challenges. The role will involve running several environmental or sustainability projects at a time and interfacing with clients on a day-to-day basis.
While arrangements can be made for working remotely, the applicant will be required to spend time in either the Singaporean or Vancouver offices and only applicants that already reside or possess the necessary legal documents to work from these locations will be considered.
Key Responsibilities

• Sustainability advisory services to corporate clients with a focus on environmental aspects
• Submission of key deliverables on time and budget

• Project manage resources, schedules, sub-contractors, budgets, and risks

• Client liaison and consultations with project stakeholders
• Development of business and strategies
• Preparation and submission of proposals for new projects
• Development of innovative and multidisciplinary technical and organizational methods/services

• Work collaboratively as part of a team and share knowledge with colleagues.

Education and Experience

• Preferably a degree in a social science, environmental science or environmental engineering discipline
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven experience in the execution sustainability advisory projects
• Prior experience in working with key sector clients will be looked on favourably.

Knowledge and Skills

• Self-motivated, creative, energetic, willing to learn new skills, and interested in continuous improvement, through best practices and research
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards
• Knowledge in emerging sustainability trends
• Knowledge in water management
• Knowledge in carbon accounting
• Knowledge of climate resiliency
• Knowledge of nature-based solutions
• Good interpersonal skills
• Confidence to engage with different external clients
• Attention to detail with good presentation, analytical and writing skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
