Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
• Provide project documentation and reports.
• Liaise with vendors and contractors for problem resolution.

• Permanent

Working Hours:

• Mon \xe2\x80\x93 Fri; 8.30am \xe2\x80\x93 6pm

Salary:

• Up to $6400 + VB

Location:

• Island wide, depending on project, most likely AMK/ Bukit Merah / Science Park

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/Computer or Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience in computer/server hardware systems troubleshooting and peripherals replacement.
• Experience in Windows server OS, Unix/Linux OS & VM environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
• Pro-active, dynamic and with good analytical/conceptual thinking
• Able to work independently as well as in a team and good interpersonal skills.
• Good to have - Experience and knowledge of CI/CD, scripting (bash/python) and programming (Java/C++)
• Good to have \xe2\x80\x93 Experience in network or cyber design.

Project nature

• Private data centre infra.
• Nutanix HCI installation and deployment or
• Bare metal installation and deployment
• Installation of System (OS (e.g., redhat, Linux) and COTS hardening
