Basil\xe2\x80\x99s aim and mission are based on the detailed understanding of the business issues and quick and effective response to our client\xe2\x80\x99s strategic needs and demandsThe RoleREPORTING STRUCTUREThe Senior Systems Engineer (Platform - Windows) reports to the Platform Team Manager.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYThe said Engineer shall be responsible for the Planning, Project Support and Implementations, Systems Administration and Operations Support to ensure that the implemented and/or existing systems, services, and applications meet users and company\xe2\x80\x99s expectations. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in assigned tasks, team-oriented environment.a) deployment (Tanium) and license compliance; andb) Budgeting and procurement of services, hardware, licenses as required for services under care.c) Plan, arrange and perform operating systems/software upgrades and patching, abiding by Change Management cycle.d) Follow the day-to-day operations related to ensure continuity of work.e) Follow department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

• Proactive Capacity Management and Planning
• Perform growth projections on infrastructure resources (hypervisor hosts, VMware, virtual machines and/or physical servers); and
• Perform capacity upgrades (scaling up / scaling out).
• Proactive Availability Management and Planning
• Perform health checks of all hypervisors and objects in vCenter;
• Monitoring and rectification of reported alarms;
• Backup/Restoration management;
• Resource bottlenecks (e.g. CPU, Memory, Disk, Network, etc); and
• Snapshot management.
• Patch Management
• Plan and consolidate patch schedule (e.g. Hardware Firmware patches, ESXi patches, VMware tools version, etc); and
• Perform patch and software version upgrade.
• Documentation
• Identify and document dependencies between various domains (e.g. network, systems, applications or databases);
• Inventory, assets and license tracking and updates to ensure compliance;
• Support periodic audit review exercises by providing the required information and to perform the remediation actions to close all audit findings; and
• Track inventory of Assets
• DRP/BCP
• Produce, update and/or build Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and validate actual procedure execution; and
• Participate and/or supporting of scheduled periodic DRP/BCP exercises.
• Project Support
• Provide/review solutions in terms of systems architecture, design and configuration and propose recommendation to Technology department management for approvals;
• Lead infrastructure related projects (e.g. Tech refresh, new infrastructure services);
• Participate as project members for key application and/or infrastructure projects; and
• Manage vendors/contractors to ensure implementation is in accordance to stipulated requirements, service/system SLA and project deliverables are met, provided timely and sufficiently.
• 24x7 Operations Support
• Perform 24x7 on-call standby duties (average 1 or 2 weeks per month) and investigate issues within 30 min upon alert/activation for incidents; and
• Perform after-hours (on-call) emergency work as scheduled or required.
• ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
• Internal
• The Senior Systems Engineer (Platform - Windows) is required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal users to proactively provide support to meet the business needs of the users.
• He/She must work closely within Technology team members and with other cross-departmental staff for operation support and projects.
• External
• The Senior Systems Engineer (Platform - Windows) is required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with:

• Required qualification and skills
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field;
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in an enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows server, active directory, M365, and other IT systems and applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication and collaboration skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritization; and
• Certifications in relevant IT domains are a plus, example:
• Certified in MS SharePoint 2016 or above
• MS-100: Microsoft 365 Identity and Services and MS-101 Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security
• Certified in VMware administration.
• Experience/Knowledge/Skill Sets
• At least 6 years of Windows Servers and Microsoft core infrastructure technology implementation and hands-on administration in Windows Server 2012 and above;
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience on VMWare (VSphere 5.1 or above);
• At least 5 years of working experience on 24x7 operations support including on-call (standby duties);
• Experience in administrative and routines tasks; adherence to IT policies and security standards and able to organize resources to solve issues/requests;
• Knowledgeable with the operation of Microsoft Exchange servers;
• Experience in performing end-user computer support on windows platform; and
• Working knowledge of GPO administration
• Knowledgeable with the operation of ELK platform (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) \xe2\x80\x93 ideally 1+ years of experience.
