SENIOR TECHNICAL COORDINATOR

The

Senior Technical Coordinator

at Brewin Design Office plays a key role in ensuring the technical excellence and smooth execution of our design projects. This position involves overseeing the development of approved designs, coordinating with the internal design team, CAD designers, and external consultants to ensure that all technical documentation meets the firm's standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Drafting and Documentation

Produce and review detailed design drawings and technical documentation using CAD software.


Ensure all drawings adhere to the firm's technical standards and comply with local building codes and regulations.


Maintain and refine drawing templates and documentation standards to ensure consistency across projects.

Team Coordination

Coordinate and guide in-house and outsourced drafting resources as required.


Support project leads in task planning and allocation to meet deadlines and quality expectations.


Review and provide feedback on technical drawings prepared by team members.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with the design team to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings.


Collaborate with project managers and consultants to address and resolve technical challenges.


Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure technical clarity during the construction phase.

Expertise in Residential and Hospitality Details

Apply deep knowledge of luxury residential and hospitality design standards.


Resolve complex detailing challenges to uphold design intent and functionality.


Propose practical and innovative technical solutions tailored to project needs.

Process Optimization and Quality Assurance

Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting workflows and technical standards.


Conduct quality reviews of technical deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency.


Participate in initiatives to enhance technical documentation processes within the firm.

Requirements

Experience:

Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in technical drafting and detailing, preferably within high-end residential and hospitality projects.

Software Proficiency:

Advanced skills in CAD software; familiarity with other design and visualization tools is an advantage.

Coordination Skills:

Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across teams and disciplines.

Technical Knowledge:

Excellent understanding of building materials, construction methods, and technical standards. *
