Senior Technical Officer, Naval Systems

Job Description
OVERVIEW
As a technical officer, you will be responsible to conduct inspection in newbuild, retrofitting and ship upgrade programmes, and ensure that works carried out are in accordance to required regulations. You will:
Plan, organize and supervise construction inspection and testing of works on newbuild, retrofitting and ship upgrade to ensure smooth implementation within defined milestones and requirements
Implement quality assurance and quality control for newbuild, retrofitting and ship upgrade programmes
Support project team in project execution
Support project team in the conduct of acceptance tests
Work with the quality assurance team to improve quality assurance processes and controls
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Marine Engineering/Marine & Offshore Technology or relevant discipline with relevant work experience Broad knowledge of ship construction, inspection, and testing processes Understanding of the design and integration of ship structures and marine systems Knowledge of shipyard organisation, construction methods and techniques Good communication skills Able to work independently and collaboratively as a team #
