Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working with a global bunker/marine fuel trading company looking to add a senior technology officer to their team in Singapore to deliver growth, day to day management and continuous development of their internal IT systems/set up and technical offering.
Our client has a rapidly growing presence globally and is headquartered in Singapore.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with senior management on how to best deploy technology and IT infrastructure to assist in the growth and advancement of the trading desk
• Actively seek time saving functionality from existing and new IT/Tech infrastructure internally
• Keep up to date with industry specific tech advancements and offerings from suppliers of softwares and products to make life easier for the traders, operators and support staff in the business
• Ensure solid compliance throughout all IT/tech equipment and software in the office
• Offer day to day IT/Tech support to staff, assisting with the setup, maintenance and fixes for software and hardware issues
• Installing new hardware and ensuring that existing hardware is functioning as efficiently as possible
• Conduct regular IT audits
• Project manage any IT/Infrastructure upgrades or refreshments
• Design and implement training programs for staff internally

Requirements:

• 5-7+ years' experience in an internal IT/Tech support function as a senior technology officer or similar
• Excellent knowledge of security and compliance software, cloud systems and ideally commodity/marine related software
• Successful track record in implementing software/IT infrastructure to assist in the growth of an organisation
• Excellent communication skills and experience working at a senior level in a similar organisation
• Bunker fuel, energy or oil & gas experience would be a benefic
• Excellent English (verbal and written) skills
