We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Senior Test Engineer

to join our team on a 24-month contract. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems through meticulous planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities. You will play a key role in driving testing excellence across projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior testers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and define comprehensive test strategies and plans for assigned projects. Lead and manage end-to-end test activities, coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders. Collaborate with project teams to analyze requirements and determine test scope. Design and produce test deliverables, including test scenarios, test cases, and test data. Execute functional testing via user interfaces and APIs, documenting results with screenshots and summaries. Establish and communicate test conditions, schedules, and reporting processes to relevant parties. Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, ensuring timely resolution. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on testing progress and issues. Prepare and present daily/weekly test reports highlighting progress, risks, and key findings. Create knowledge-sharing documentation and conduct internal training sessions.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in functional software testing and test planning. Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently or leading a team. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and navigate complex issues. Sound decision-making abilities during critical testing phases, backed by data and experience. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to grasp complex business and system workflows. Prior experience in Equities and Derivatives Trading and/or Clearing is highly preferred. Proficiency in SQL and database testing is an advantage. Experience with automation tools such as TOSCA is preferred. Familiarity with API testing, including REST and FIX protocols, is a plus. Understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies is preferred. Strong command of English, both written and spoken. ISTQB or equivalent testing certifications are preferred.
