The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing Technical Safety aspects, studies, and workshops in a wide range of Projects (Refinery, Petrochemical, Pharma, etc.) under coordination of the Technical Safety Department Manager.

Knowledge, skills and experience:
Shall have minimum 6 to 12 years' experience in Process/ Technical safety/ Fire Protection system design and engineering. Prefer having experience in HAZOP/LOPA/SIL review & QRA, PCS, Safety Case submission. Experience in Concept study, Pre-FEED, FEED and EPC of Refinery, Chemical, LNG projects
Knowledge of the design of firewater system, fire and gas detection and alarm system, foam system, clean agent system and fireproofing requirement.
Proficient in preparation of Process Safety/Firewater Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Line Hydraulics Calculation.
Proficient in performing firewater network hydraulic calculations using Industry approved software such as Pipenet.
Experience in different phases of the project execution including pre-FEED, FEED and execution stage (EPC/EPCM) is an added advantage
Experience in greenfield as well as brownfield projects
Familiar with Consequence modelling for gas dispersion, fire radiation and blast/explosion.
Knowledge with various international codes and standards, company design practices/standards and local regulations, relevant to process safety and fire protection engineering.
Responsibilities
Implement the Safety Management System as required by the Project.
Implement procedural requirements for environmental management when assigned to specific projects.
When assigned to projects, review contractual, legislative, and regulatory environmental requirements and preparation of the project HSE Plan.
Maintain an awareness of current trends in process safety and management.
Liaise with Clients and provide support to the Project Manager.
Support and report to Project Process Manager as required by project execution plans and organizations.
Aware of Local and International standards relevant to technical safety.
Duties
Carry out and report safety audits in accordance with procedural and schedule requirements.
Prepare, on behalf of Clients, safety assessments, reports and studies.
Maintain a familiarity with applicable IT techniques for the execution and optimization of environmental management activities.
Prepare P&IDs, calculations and all other documents required for Fire Water System design.
Aware of Local and International standards relevant to technical safety.
* Prepare Hazardous material schedule for Area Classification in line with international standards.
