What does a Senior Manager/Transcreation Account Manager do at Hogarth?

As part of the Client Services Department, you play a central role in the business and are pivotal to the smooth running of your account(s). You will need excellent linguistic skills, attention to detail, a thorough understanding of the Transcreation process and supported by your line manager will be responsible for managing projects from brief to final delivery, in collaboration with other departments. You will require good communication, attention to detail, organization and time management skills in order to manage your clients and internal departments while always focusing on quality, process and profitability.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

This role reports to the Language Services Director, APAC. You will work closely across all departments.

Transcreation Responsibilities -

  • Take responsibility for quality of transcreation services delivered to the client and address any issues raised by the client
  • Update glossaries on a project by project basis
  • Maintain Translation Memories updated to capture client feedback/preferences and ensure consistency
  • Provide constructive feedback to freelancers at the end of each project
  • Ensure appropriate creativity is used in headlines by checking with creative contacts within Hogarth
  • Develop strong relationships with local market copywriters and proofreaders
  • Manage in-market freelancers to ensure timely delivery and highest levels of quality
  • Support Transcreation Team Leader on any transcreation and localization projects
Quality Control -
  • Highlight and escalate quality control issues
  • Act as a brand/QC guardian - always ensure brand guidelines and QC checklists and procedures are followed
  • Ensure the best external talent is always used - freelancers, proofreaders, copywriters, planners where necessary (liaise with relevant dept. heads and ensure they pass relevant tests)
  • Ensure all parties are aware of brand and QC guidelines, ensure internal summaries are developed and distributed if necessary
Client Management Responsibilities -
  • Immerse yourself in the client\'s brand and offering
  • Ensure clients understand agreed workflows and manage them through the process
  • Set and manage client expectations deliverables and timeframes
  • Escalate all serious client issues to your line manager immediately and recommend solutions wherever possible
  • Identify areas for improvement of the existing workflow and processes which could benefit Hogarth and/or the client
  • Build strong day to day relationships with all clients and agency stakeholders - communication is key
  • Ensure that your line manager is aware of all client issues (including potential delays) to ensure swift resolution and avoid escalation (recommend solutions wherever possible)
Project Management Responsibilities -
  • Co-ordinate between all relevant parties - internal (Print, Broadcast, Digital etc.) and external (Clients and agencies) where necessary to ensure things get done
  • Consistently deliver against all contractual obligations include SLAs and KPIs
  • Manage all client projects from brief through to delivery ensuring final materials are on time and of the highest quality
  • Where project managers/producers are involved, take responsibility for ongoing communication, tracking project progress and status vs schedule, timings, delays etc.
  • Manage, monitor and update all timelines and set realistic expectations with clients
  • Monitor internal workflows, identify areas for improvement and make recommendations
  • Ensure clear division of responsibility for appropriate files at each stage of the project
  • Follow agreed workflows and utilize relevant project management tools - FIDO, Trados etc.
  • Check all materials (PDFs, emails, ads etc.) and ensure quality control procedures have been followed Transcreation Team Lead / Account Director updated on status of projects
  • Collate any information needed for input to client reports and presentations
  • Responsible for uploading reference materials to FIDO
Financial Responsibilities -
  • Ensure full compliance with all financial procedures and policies
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting process
  • Help develop initiatives to maximize profitability
  • Review and negotiate talent rates on an ongoing basis to ensure high profitability
Business Development Responsibilities -
  • Strive to better client and stakeholder relations
  • Proactively seek and identify new revenue opportunities in existing clients or prospects and inform Transcreation Team Lead / Account Director
  • Support the Transcreation Team Lead / Account Director in developing proposals for any new revenue opportunities
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a Localisation, Talent Management or Production Management role.
  • High level of IT literacy, including usage of spreadsheets
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Prioritisation, time management and attention to detail
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent oral and written English essential, other languages desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, detail oriented, customer focused, proactive and possess excellent communication skills with a clear understanding of international brand challenges
  • 4+ years\' experience managing and servicing International accounts
  • Experience working in transcreation/translation/localization
  • Experience working in TV, print and or Digital production
