About the Role & TeamThe Trade Finance & Working Capital Solutions team sits within our global Credit & Surety team. Your role will be a mix of transactional underwriting and client and broker relationship management. All our underwriters follow a client relationship and a transaction "End to End", combining client management with individual transaction underwriting assessment and sign-off. This role with cover both corporate obligors and FI obligors.The role of our team is to provide insurance capacity and solutions for leading Trade Finance & Working Capital Solutions banks and other financial institutions for cross border trade transactions, corporate loan transactions as well as limited solutions for corporate clients. This involves an international work environment with a global scope and customer base.You will:

  • Independently analyse trade finance and non-trade loan deals, with a strong emphasis on evaluating corporate risk including pricing, risk, policy wording and providing deep expertise in underwriting a variety of structures and underlying risk profiles
  • Manage transactions end-to-end from client management to transaction underwriting assessment and sign-off
  • Efficiently handle client and broker relationships to grow our profitability
  • Analyse multi obligor and portfolio transactions
  • Present transactions to internal stakeholders and defend positions with energy
  • Identify and monitor market, economic and legal developments impacting risks and business growth opportunities
  • Work in a collegiate high-performance regional and global team environment
About YouWe are looking for an exceptional teammate with strong analytical, communication, negotiation and presenting skills who can constructively and respectfully engage in challenging conversations with your stakeholders and execute transactions effectively. Are you able to underwrite the risks of a transaction and form outstanding relationships with your clients? Are you able and willing to take initiatives and implement measures in a goal-oriented manner with a \'can do attitude\' and:
  • At least 5 years of experience within the Financial Industry in Trade Finance, Corporate Banking or Credit Insurance
  • Advanced understanding of assessing corporate credit obligors, financials and structures coupled with a graduate degree (understanding of assessing FI obligors is a plus)
  • Experience with trade finance products and non-trade corporate loans and a wide array of Asia Pacific obligor locations and markets
  • Strong interest in corporate risks, wide-ranging industries, economic interdependencies, financial analysis, in particular applied to a range of economies and transactions around the world particularly in Asia-Pacific
  • Experience in client-facing transactional roles with a customer focus and service mentality (internal and external)
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail combined with an open and curious mindset
  • Strong communication skills and transaction management skills
  • Inclusive team player with "hands-on" approach
  • Awareness of operational complexities
  • High cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a robust international, multicultural and complex environment
  • Fluent in English (other business-relevant languages are a plus)
  • Happy to occasionally adjust hours from time to time to overlap with US and European time zones for global meetings
  • Willingness to travel from time to time for events
