About the Department
The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

Business Banking
We develop integrated products and services targeted at helping small and medium-sized enterprises across the region progress through different stages of growth. These include innovative solutions and initiatives in areas of working capital loans, operational efficiency and currency exposure.

Job Responsibilities
Head a team of Trade Specialists to assist in Trade Acquisition, Build Trade Knowledge within Business Banking and Conduct Reviews for trade portfolio/Customers
1) Head Trade Development Team to:

  • Promote Trade COE's platform to be a one-stop shared facility that provides leadership, best practices, knowledge, support and training for Salespeople, with focus on Trade products, process & procedures.
  • Lead the team in upgrading TDT-tagged non-HV accounts to HV status
  • Lead the team in other cross-sell & up-sell referral opportunities to TDT-tagged & non-RM tagged customers
  • Lead the team in trade campaign calls on non-RM tagged a/cs for NTP Trade opportunities
  • Lead the team to support annual credit reviews on EFS trade accounts. Ensure timely reviews & upkeep quality of BB Trade portfolio through review, including identifying accounts in distress, preventing attrition, restructuring of the existing facilities or T&Cs to increase revenue.
  • Lead the team to support Trade facilities restructuring (i.e. add supplier/ buyer, amend trade terms, amend facility leading to trade transactions).
  • Lead the team to support Trade acquisition activities, including but not limited to:-
  • Assist sales in pre-visit/ pre-submission enquiries Attend appointments with Sales to help pitch trade & structuring Pre-screen trade cases prior to submission to Credit (ensure all documentation in order & credit concerns addressed) Help Sales with credit rework, review declined/ aborted cases Provide Trade advisory (e.g. if trade facilities is feasible, lines & tenor are structured correctly, relevant FX line, Preshipment, suppliers/buyers added, etc) Perform trade calls to non-trade customers
2) Work with Sales, Product, Process, Sales Performance, Portfolio Management, Strategic Alliance, Training teams, TB & TROC to drive the growth of BB trade portfolio, including but not limited to:-
  • Review existing trade processes/ forms leading to improved workflow & efficiency.
  • Involve in Trade courses development and training.
  • Conduct trade training for new hires, trade-certification for new salespersons & other adhoc trade training
  • Work with TB on trade & voyager-related projects affecting BB.
  • Attend adhoc District TC sessions on trade calls.
  • Attend to Credit Forum & Sales queries relating to trade & provide guidance to achieve case approval & implementation.
  • Assist in reviewing criteria on trade leads for farming to sales.
  • Assist in existing product review & new product development & launch
  • Assist in scorecard/ trade campaigns development for Sales & Customers.
3) Financials:
Achieve department Trade ENR & Trade Revenue Budget

Job Requirements
- Degree holder
- At least 12 -15 years of relevant experience in Trade
