We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President, Tax.
Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will

• Supporting taxation matters of the HSBC business in Singapore, covering the Corporate and Institutional Banking businesses and Human Resource related advisory in Singapore
• Partner with stakeholders to provide holistic tax advice on products and services and execute tax related strategic priorities, where applicable
• Lead tax compliance and reporting including the Financial Sector Incentive (FSI) and withholding tax returns, transfer pricing, transactional, direct tax processes and controls
• Ensure tax reporting of the entities are accurate and supported
• Work closely with local tax authorities on various tax matters, including tax audits/inspections
• Implement Global Minimum Tax in Singapore and any ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements
To be successful you will need

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines with professional accounting qualification
• Good professional tax experience gained from Big Four, banks or financial services
• Strong technical and commercial understanding of how Tax impacts the businesses, knowledge of FATCA and Common Reporting Standard (CRS)
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of excellent stakeholder management, working effectively across teams and problem solving with the confidence to make measured and commercial decisions which may have far reaching implications
• Sound judgment, decision making and problem solving abilities
• Strong analytical ability with attention to detail, able to maintain the highest levels of accuracy and adherence to standards and policies
