The Role: Senior Workflow Specialist, Company Intelligence & Analytics

The Location: Shanghai/Beijing

The Team: Company Intelligence & Analytics represents the data and analytics ecosystem driving company analysis for our clients. This consists of Company Information Services (CIS) and also Analytics Services (Trading Analytics, Dividend Forecasting, Research Signals/AFL (Alpha Signals) and ClariFI). The CIS product suite comprises of core and alternative datasets, as well as Cross Reference solutions, that are delivered to our clients through datafeed solutions, and increasingly power our clients\' digital transformation efforts directly via feed and cloud.

The APAC team for Company Intelligence & Analytics oversees product and business development in this strategic region, with direct ownership of revenue and business growth, while shaping the roadmap for APAC product investment and partnerships.

The Impact : Integral to the APAC team are the Workflow Specialists, who align closely with business development objectives and leverage their data science backgrounds to lead with analytical insights, thought leadership, and engage clients on complex use cases and proof-of-concepts. The Workflow Specialists are also the bridge to building opportunities that combine CIS and Analytics Services, as well as surfacing product synergies with the wider Market Intelligence datasets.

The Senior Workflow Specialist will be an expert in investment management workflows covering data analytics and quantitative/" quantamental" products offered through our S&P Global Market Intelligence suite of solutions. Additional expertise in Capital Markets, where data-driven workflow is needed in the current landscape, will be a plus.

The candidate is expected to design solutions to solve our clients\' enterprise data and analytical needs, which may arise from new investment mandates, enterprise data frameworks, new regulatory requirements, and other data-driven innovations. As an industry subject matter expert, the candidate needs to keep abreast of unique data content and technology innovation, to provide practical insights to clients.

This role drives revenue growth and client retention by working with Sales, Relationship Management, Solutions Architects and other team members in Product and Business Development, to promote Company Intelligence & Analytics solutions to enterprise data managers, data scientists and quantitative experts, etc. who consume large volumes of data to derive insights and analytics for decision-making.

  • Be a key contributor to a close-knit APAC team for Company Intelligence & Analytics, to shape regional business and product strategy and deliver overall business results
  • Work closely with executives, and front and middle office professionals across a breadth of the worlds\' leading investment managers, banks, private equity firms as well as non-financial corporations
  • Collaborate with global business leadership, product owners and data scientists to evangelize our latest thought leadership, product delivery and roadmap in the APAC region
  • Sit at the forefront of mega-trends including big data, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence with our product suite as the core to power digital transformation at our clients
Responsibilities:
  • Aligns with commercial strategy and help execute high level strategic pre-sales effort
  • Establishes relationships with Sales Executives, Relationship Managers, Product Managers and Solutions Architects and supports them in demonstrating how our products add value to clients
  • Develops campaigns and initiatives for driving revenue growth for segment-specific sales and assists in client retention work around business line products
  • Hosts webinars, roundtables and other marketing events to drive new business opportunities
  • Works with global stakeholders to promote new product launches and drive new business
  • Provides analysis of the business line\'s competitive landscape and identifies strategic opportunities
  • Promotes S&P Global Market Intelligence thought-leadership
  • Works closely with customers and prospects in testing and on-boarding new products / services and enhancements to existing product / services
  • Serves as a subject matter expert across relevant products
  • Helps train new clients, sales reps and relationship managers on highly technical product applications
What We\'re Looking For:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or higher education
  • Native-level Mandarin and business-level English speaker
  • 3+ years relevant industry experience working with data at scale. Prior experience in capital markets a plus
  • Education or work experience in data science or quantitative finance including proficiency of one or more programming languages such as Python or R and knowledge in common data structures and algorithms
  • Proficiency in SQL languages such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Prior experience in product management and/or business development a plus
  • MBA or advanced industry certification a plus
  • Possession of exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact confidently and build collaborative relationships with prospects and clients as well as cross-functional teams within the organization, i.e., Product Management, Education, Legal and Marketing
  • Possession of commercial acumen and enjoys being in front of clients and prospects
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems in the sales process and, where necessary, adopt a new perspective using expert judgement
  • Self-motivated, with a strong desire to succeed and a positive outlook
  • Thrives in an unstructured work environment with flexibility and autonomy to find your own wins and self-determine how you impact the business
