Job Description


:

  • Shall coordinate closely with the Company to ensure that the Company\xe2\x80\x99s safety requirements are practised at the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s worksite.
  • Shall review of HSE related documents, such as Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, etc.
  • Shall attend toolbox meeting conducted by the Contractor to ensure work risks are understood by the workers and give recommendation for improvement as required.
  • Shall verify workmen\xe2\x80\x99s training in compliance with legislation and SPL requirements.
  • Shall Inspect plant, machinery, equipment and tools used in the worksite and recommend follow-ups should there be any discrepancies.
  • Shall carry out regular physical site inspections. When saw any unsafe work and/or practices, he/she shall carry out immediate corrective actions and if necessary, issue a Safety Pause until the Contractors have satisfactorily corrected and/or rectified the issue.
  • Shall provide recommendations to rectify any noncompliance identified.
    Shall issue Safety Pause instructions when major or critical non-conformance are found in the contractors\xe2\x80\x99 work sites in accordance with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s requirements. The Safety Pause Programme will be presented to the HSE inspector during the Company\xe2\x80\x99s training.
  • Shall immediately notify the Company in the event of issuance of Safety Pause to the contractor and report the status of the action/s taken leading to the lifting of the Safety Pause.
  • Required to attend on-site and/or off-site meetings on safety matters, e.g Project Safety Review meetings.
  • Shall familiarise himself with the company\xe2\x80\x99s emergency evacuation plan and shall take part in regular evacuation drills conducted by the Company.
  • Shall lead and/or participate in any investigation on safety incidents/lapses, with the primary objectives of identifying the root cause and taking proactive measure to ensure that the root causes are adequately addressed.
  • Consolidate and summarise the weekly safety observation reports and submit to the Company. In addition, he/she shall provide feedback to the Contractors for follow up on corrective/preventive actions.
  • Able to track and monitor the Contractors\xe2\x80\x99 follow up corrective/preventive actions and ensure that the Contractors implement them within a reasonable time frame befitting the severity of the observations.
  • Required to attend safety and security courses conducted by the Company. The costs for attending these courses shall be borne by the Supplier.
