The Trade Division drives the formulation of Singapore's foreign economic policy and safeguards Singapore's economic interests in the international economic arena.What you will be working on:As a trade officer in the North East Asia (NEA) Division in MTI, you will join a team of dedicated and creative colleagues to: xe2x80xa2 Develop and implement Singapore's strategy of engaging the markets in NEA, including China. xe2x80xa2 Engage in international trade diplomacy xe2x80xa2 Support official trips, study visits and business missions. xe2x80xa2 Play an impactful role in helping Singapore build good relations with these countries and gain economically from the growth of the region.What we are looking for:

• Relevant field of study in Economics, Political Science, International Relations, or related disciplines. xe2x80xa2 Excellent analytical, communication, written and negotiation skills. xe2x80xa2 Prior experience in formulating and reviewing policy matters is preferred. xe2x80xa2 Willingness to travel.
