We are a hub of knowledge and innovation, attracting healthcare professionals who are passionate about pushing boundaries and making significant contributions to the field.About Department and Purpose of the PositionThe National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) is a national specialist centre under the National University Health System (NUHS). It is the only public cancer centre in Singapore treating both paediatric and adult cancers in one faciWe are looking for a Senior/Assistant Manager (Research & Data) to be responsible for assisting principal clinical investigators with prospective and retrospective data collection and maintenance of databases for cancer programs and survivorship (GI cncers and solid tumors). The incumbent will oversee and manage healthcare projects (care pathways, value-driven outcome (VDO) initiatives, and healthcare delivery projects) and ensure data integrity and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)Data Management

  • Oversee and manage healthcare data extraction, storage, and analysis activities in accordance withh regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
  • Oversee and manage data validation, cleaning, and harmonisation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Oversee development and maintenance of databases, spreadsheets, and other data management tools to support project activities
  • Facilitate data transformation and preparation between systems to ensure seamless data integration
  • Guide data analysis and generate reports to support decision-making and project evaluation
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify data needs and requirements for healthcare projects
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies, including HIM-DM regulations
  • Extract data for analysis and reports for publication, conference or presentation
  • Maintain study status updates by submission of documents to DSRB when required or annually
  • Assist Principal Investigator (PI) with the preparation of research studies protocol and document submission to DSRB
Project Management
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of healthcare research projects from initation to completion
  • Colaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align project goals and edliverables with clinical and research objectives
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project milestones and deadlines to ensure successful project completion
  • Manage project and team meetings across sub-teams towards a larger objective
  • Track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Communicate project updates and status reports to project team members and stakeholders
  • Interface with business development teams to identify project opportunities and support feasibility assessment
Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)
  • Help with analysis and report writing
  • Other ad-hoc data/research duties as assigned by Reporting Officer / PI
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences / Biological Sciences or its equivalent
  • Preferrably 3 to 5 years\' experience in data management, with a focus in Haematology and/or Oncology related roles will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Possess project management skills or experience with project management
  • Statistics skills will be an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Positive and can-do attitude
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to learn complex medical science
  • Self-motivated
