Responsibilities
Responsible for operational procurement and strategic sourcing activities
Liaise and negotiate with suppliers to ensure compliance to our business terms and cost targets
Lead sourcing activities in relation to category and stakeholder requirements
To manage procurement of major train and automotive components and line replaceable units
To manage procurement of assigned indirect categories as required in support of the business unit
To act as the business partner for the Project business unit by understanding needs and ensure their requirements are reflected in tenders
To develop system support requirements and tools in support of vendor and contract management
Perform market and spend analysis and gather market intelligence on the products to reap the best price advantage
Qualifications & Work Experience
2-3 years related experience in procurement role would be an advantage, but fresh graduates are also welcomed to apply
Work experience in public transport industry would be an advantage
Experience with financial institution regulatory requirement and risk management expectations related to outsourcing and vendor management is an advantage
Skills
Technical skills include:
ARIBA, SAP knowledge (MRP functionality) and SAP qualification is an advantage
Proven ability to review, monitor and recommend amendments to contracts and implement business processes to manage against contractual obligations required
Extensive spread sheet (Excel preferably with course certification) and strong mathematical abilities.
Generic skills include:
Expert negotiation/influencing skills with demonstrated ability to influence negotiated outcome required
Strong analytical and problem solving skills grounded in continuous quality improvement required
Proven ability to plan and perform and have been involved in technical work involving new or regularly changing problems, work from broad instruction, deal with complex factors not easily evaluated
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective vendor, business partner and regulatory relationships, influence decisions and collaborate effectively across the organization required
