What the role is:The Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) in MSF provides services for the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders and the protection of children and families. The Clinical and Forensic Psychology Service (CFPS) provides specialised psychological services to children, youth and families in abuse and trauma recovery and forensic mental health. The Centre for Trauma Recovery (CTR), a team within CFPS, works with children, youth, vulnerable adults, elderly and families, who have been impacted by trauma typically as a result of abuse and/or neglect. At CTR, you will provide direct clinical services to MSF clients and families, and contribute to capability building efforts (e.g. trainings, consultations) within the social service sector.What you will be working on:You will provide psychological assessment and therapy services, crisis support and management, consultation to internal and external MSF partners, and conduct trainings and talks. You may also conduct mental capacity assessments for vulnerable adults. Opportunities for supervision, inputs to ops-policy and workgroups, as well as sector capability building may also be available. In addition, psychologists will have opportunities to be deployed to external agency-based treatment settings or residential settings working with children/youth. Continued clinical training, staff support, and supervision will be provided. There will also be opportunities for research in areas of trauma and abuse. You will: \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide crisis support and management, psychological assessment, and evidence-based therapy services \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to sustain treatment gains \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide trainings and consultation services to partners and stakeholdersWhat we are looking for:

  • Minimally Master\'s degree in Clinical, Forensic, Applied or Counselling Psychology \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 3 years of experience in Clinical, Forensic, Applied, or Counselling Psychology setting after completion of postgraduate degree is preferred \xe2\x80\xa2 Good report writing skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong and effective interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
