Reporting to Implementation Design Manager, the position is an exciting opportunity to be part of a flexible and dynamic team working in the growing markets of image sensor.

The role is within the physical implementation team, forming part of the wider design team in Singapore which includes all disciplines required for implementation of full custom image sensors.

In addition to the many challenges of sub-micron implementation within tight specifications, the engineer is contributing to tool and flow enhancements and understanding to all our inter-team colleagues across STs Imaging sites (Grenoble and Edinburgh). This policy of enhancing skills in each field is greatly encouraged and actively pursued during each project for all team members.

Job scope:

• To implement SoC top-level floor planning, partitioning and timing budgeting, power structure, place and route, clock tree synthesis, timing closure, power/signal integrity signoff and physical verification (DRC/LVS/Antenna).
• Collaborate with various design groups across different disciplines (Logic, Place and Route, DFT, Analog) to meet timing closure, area and power requirements.
• Implement all physical design tasks using best-in-class methodologies

Communicate regularly with the worldwide project team to resolve issues and to ensure goals and schedule are met. * Documentation of report, troubleshooting solution, work progress, design checklist and etc. as required by project team or management.

Profile

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Experience in hierarchical back-end physical design, especially in SoC level floor planning and partitioning, congestion analysis, placement optimization, clock-tree synthesis and timing closure preferred
• EDA tools knowledge such as Cadence Innovus, Mentor Graphics Calibre, Ansys Redhawk preferred
• Good knowledge on EM/IR-Drop/Crosstalk analysis, physical design strategies, methodology and deep sub-micron technology issues
• Analytical and possesses problem solving experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication
